Min. ReadMontblanc introduces a new rugged look to its Iced Sea collection with a distressed steel case and integrates its advanced 0 Oxygen technology for enhanced durability and performance.
Following the success of the 2024 Iced Sea Bronze-tone Edition, Montblanc now presents a model featuring a distressed stainless steel case with a black coating. The finishing process involves manually washing the steel before brushing it with quartzite from the Mont-Blanc Massif. This unique treatment creates an aged, weathered look, ensuring that no two cases are identical. The timepiece also features a black ceramic bezel with a laser-treated first 15-minute section, highlighting the white minute markers against a textured background.
The dial of the Montblanc Iced Sea Automatic Date 41mm mirrors the icy depths of glacial formations. Created using the gratté-boisé technique, the grey sfumato glacier pattern dial captures the intricate crystal structures of centuries-old ice. The sfumato effect gradually blends tones for a striking sense of depth and luminosity. This intricate process takes four times longer to complete than a standard dial, underscoring Montblanc’s commitment to craftsmanship.
For 2025, Montblanc enhances the Iced Sea collection with its innovative 0 Oxygen technology. By eliminating oxygen from inside the case, the system prevents fogging caused by extreme temperature shifts and reduces oxidation, extending the longevity of movement components. Each timepiece undergoes a rigorous sealing process, confirmed by an official certificate. Existing Montblanc Iced Sea owners will have the option to upgrade their watches with this technology through Montblanc boutiques or Richemont service centers.
Certified to ISO 6425 standards, this diver’s watch ensures reliability in demanding conditions. It features luminescent hands and markers, Montblanc’s Iced Sea logo on the dial, and a case back with a 3D engraving of a scuba diver and an iceberg. The Montblanc MB 24.17 automatic movement, offering a 38-hour power reserve, powers the watch. It comes with an interchangeable black rubber strap equipped with a fine adjustment system for optimal fit.
Every Montblanc Iced Sea watch undergoes the Montblanc Laboratory Test, ensuring resistance to shocks, magnetism, extreme temperatures, and water pressure up to 30 bar. With its robust build and sophisticated craftsmanship, the Montblanc Iced Sea Automatic Date 41mm in distressed steel is ready for any adventure.
