Min. ReadIn celebration of its 270th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin introduces the Traditionelle Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar, a stunning timepiece limited to just 127 pieces. This exclusive release showcases the brand's commitment to innovation, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering in a beautifully complex watch.
Housed in a 42mm platinum case with a thickness of 11.1mm, the Traditionelle Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar features the brand’s in-house Caliber 2162 QP/270, an evolution of the 2018 Traditionelle self-winding tourbillon Caliber 2160. The movement measures 32.79mm by 6.55mm and is equipped with a peripheral rotor for automatic winding. Despite its slender profile, the watch maintains an impressive 72-hour power reserve and 30m water resistance, all visible through the display caseback. The movement’s rotor, placed at the edge, offers a better view of the intricate 270th-anniversary engraving and the special 'côte unique' finish on the bridges, a nod to the brand's vintage models like the Historiques 1921.
The dial of the Traditionelle Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar is a true masterpiece, featuring subdials for the day of the week, month, and date, along with an aperture for the leap year indicator. The tourbillon, positioned at six o'clock, is housed in a Maltese cross-style cage, and a single blued screw indicates the running seconds as it rotates. The white/silver dial is decorated with the brand’s new hand-guilloché motif, which is exclusive to the limited editions celebrating the 270th anniversary.
Limited to just 127 pieces, the Vacheron Constantin Traditionelle Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar is not just a watch but a testament to the brand’s legacy of fine horology, combining exceptional complexity with a timeless aesthetic.
