Chopard L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer Vendome One Limited Edition

Chopard's new Paris hotel isn't the only luxurious addition to the city's landscape; its clients at Place Vendôme 1 now have the opportunity to own an exceptionally elegant timepiece.

Luxury brand Chopard has recently expanded its footprint by opening a prestigious hotel at Place Vendôme 1 in Paris. The boutique hotel boasts five rooms and ten suites, each uniquely adorned. To commemorate the opening of the Chopard Hotel, the brand has introduced the Chopard L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer Vendôme One, a special edition watch exclusively available at the brand’s boutique located on the ground floor of the hotel.

The watch features an ethical 18-carat yellow gold 40mm x 7.7mm case with vertical satin-brushed flanks, a polished case-middle, and a caseback. Its standout feature is the crown-integrated pusher, which opens the hinged cover protecting the exhibition caseback. Adorned with hand-guilloché honeycomb motif on the outside and a hand-engraved Sun on the inside, the cover pays homage to Louis XIV, the visionary king behind the construction of Place Vendôme.

The dial design, inspired by the reign of King Louis XIV, showcases a hand-guilloché honeycomb pattern at its center and a contrasting snailed small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. Reflecting the elegance of Place Vendôme, the dial’s base is painted in Bering blue, while the arrowhead-shaped indices and Dauphine-style hands match the case metal.

Powering the watch is the ultra-thin, 3.3mm L.U.C 96.01-L movement, providing chronometer-certified precision with its 22k yellow gold micro-rotor and two barrels, offering a 65-hour power reserve. The watch bears the prestigious Poinçon de Genève hallmark and boasts exceptional finishes, visible through the sapphire caseback.

Limited to eight pieces, the Chopard L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer Vendôme One comes on a brown calfskin strap with ecru bridle stitching and blue leather lining, closed with a pin buckle in ethical 18-carat yellow gold.
