Min. ReadRolex is expanding its Perpetual 1908 collection with a full yellow gold version, now featuring the newly designed Settimo bracelet.
Following the discontinuation of the Cellini collection, Rolex introduced the Perpetual 1908 series in 2023, combining classic design with modern craftsmanship. Previously available only on leather straps, the new release enhances the collection with a 39mm yellow gold case and a seamless gold bracelet.
The case, measuring just 9.5mm thick, maintains its refined proportions, with a domed and fluted bezel adding depth to its profile. Chamfered lugs provide a smooth, elegant transition to the bracelet. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the fluted and transparent caseback showcases the movement within. With a 50m water resistance rating, the watch balances sophistication with durability.
The dial remains unchanged, featuring a matte white surface with a fine satin finish. Applied Arabic numerals at 3, 9, and 12 o’clock, along with baton hour markers, are crafted in yellow gold. The open-circle hour hand and double-edged sword-shaped minute hand maintain the signature aesthetic. A small seconds subdial sits at 6 o’clock, completing the refined layout.
At the heart of the watch, the Rolex calibre 7140 continues to power the 1908, boasting Superlative Chronometer certification. This in-house automatic movement integrates the patented Chronergy escapement and Syloxi silicon hairspring for enhanced precision. Paraflex shock absorbers improve durability, while the skeletonized 18k yellow gold rotor optimizes winding efficiency. The movement provides a robust 66-hour power reserve.
For the first time, the Perpetual 1908 is available with the Settimo bracelet, crafted entirely from yellow gold. Composed of seven contoured links, each polished to perfection, the bracelet offers a seamless and comfortable fit. Its integration with the middle case ensures a secure connection, while the concealed folding Crownclasp enhances its refined appeal.
