Min. ReadTudor has just introduced a new version of its GMT sport watch, the Black Bay Pro, featuring a striking white opaline dial. This model retains the same impressive specs as the original Black Bay Pro, released in 2022, but now offers a brighter, more legible alternative to the previous matte black dial. With a 39mm case diameter, fixed steel 24-hour bezel, and a signature yellow "Snowflake" GMT hand, it’s a stylish and highly functional sports watch.
The updated Black Bay Pro draws heavy inspiration from the Rolex Explorer II "Polar" ref. 16570. The opaline dial contrasts beautifully with black-outlined ceramic markers and the Snowflake hand, which is filled with Grade A Super-LumiNova for enhanced readability. This combination ensures the watch remains legible in all conditions. The watch is housed in a satin-brushed stainless steel case, with a matching 24-hour fixed bezel. Despite its compact 39mm size, the watch maintains a solid presence, with a thickness of 14.6mm and a 20mm lug width.
The Black Bay Pro retains Tudor's in-house MT5652 movement, offering a 70-hour power reserve, a 4 Hz frequency, and an instantaneous date display synchronized with the local hour hand. The watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters, making it versatile for both everyday wear and more adventurous activities.
The Black Bay Pro also offers versatility with three strap options: a riveted steel bracelet, a woven black Jacquard fabric strap with a yellow accent, and a hybrid strap combining rubber and leather. Each option complements the watch's robust design and sporty appeal. This new model continues Tudor’s trend of crafting smaller, highly wearable watches like the Black Bay Fifty-Eight. The Black Bay Pro stands out for its blend of vintage-inspired design with modern functionality. It channels the allure of the Rolex "Polar" dials while maintaining its own unique identity. For fans of both Tudor and Rolex, the Black Bay Pro represents an exciting update to the Black Bay family.
