At this year's Watches and Wonders event, all eyes are on Rolex’s latest releases, with the new yellow gold Daytona taking center stage. While the launch doesn’t introduce groundbreaking technical changes, the striking new dial color has already turned heads. The dial, a vibrant turquoise blue lacquer paired with bold black counters, offers a fresh and eye-catching design for the iconic chronograph.

The reference keeps the familiar specs of the yellow gold Daytona. It features a 40mm case, a black Cerachrom bezel with a tachymetric scale, and water resistance up to 100 meters. The watch is equipped with a screw-down crown and screwed pushers for extra durability. The standout element is the bold turquoise blue and black lacquer dial, which Rolex describes as a combination of turquoise and black, but Tiffany blue instantly comes to mind. The dial also showcases black snailed counters, 18k gold hour markers, and hands with a Chromalight display, ensuring visibility in all lighting conditions.

Powering the new Daytona is the Rolex 4131 movement, an updated version of the renowned 4130 chronograph. Launched in 2023, the 4131 features the innovative Chronergy escapement and a blue Parachrom hairspring while maintaining the same 4Hz frequency and 72-hour power reserve as its predecessor. The movement remains hidden beneath the solid fluted case back, featuring Rolex Côtes de Genève and a cut-out oscillating weight.

This latest version of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona comes on a black Oysterflex strap, complete with a yellow gold folding clasp and a Glidelock extension, offering enhanced adjustability for a perfect fit.
