Min. ReadRepresenting the pinnacle of German watchmaking, A. Lange & Söhne was among the brands that marked Watches & Wonders 2022 with its new Grand Lange 1 model.
Grand Lange 1, the larger member of the Lange 1 collection, one of the signature designs of A. Lange & Söhne, expands with a new model with much more elegant lines. The new model is available in 18K white or rose gold options.
Lange, the sole representative of concepts such as nobility, elegance, and grace, uses a 41mm x 8.2mm case in this model. Considering the watch's wearer, we do not doubt that this striking thinness will provide great comfort under a shirt cuff. The refined lines that make up the case are complemented by the characteristic dial that hosts the classic elements of the model family. The pair of hour and minute hands are shifted to the left on the asymmetrically placed dial produced in gray. The large date window, which is one of the most original designs of the brand, power reserve indicator, and second hand, fill the space on the right, from top to bottom, respectively. Thanks to the pusher on the left side of the case, quick date setting is possible, as in other models of the series.
At the heart of the watch is the in-house winding Caliber L095.1. The 42 jewels/397-piece movement beats at a frequency of 21600vph and offers 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound. High watchmaking details such as blue screws, bridges produced with extraordinary craftsmanship, balance regulator with swan neck design, and golden chatons are among the standards of Grand Lange 1.
The white gold case version is black, and the rose gold version is complemented by a leather strap made in red-brown tones.
