A Digital Time Display Surrounded by a Deep Blue Starry Sky

Jaeger-LeCoultre is unveiling a new interpretation of the Reverso Tribute Nonantieme ‘Enamel,’ now in 18k pink gold with a sophisticated grey sunray dial and exquisite decorative enameling on the reverse. Limited to just 90 pieces, this timepiece embodies La Grande Maison’s commitment to technical innovation, timeless aesthetics, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Originally designed in 1931 to withstand the rigors of polo, the Reverso quickly transcended its sporting roots, captivating enthusiasts with its distinctive Art Deco design and reversible case. For six decades, it remained a time-only watch. However, the 1990s saw Jaeger-LeCoultre embracing mechanical complications, beginning with the Reverso Soixantieme, which introduced a sapphire caseback to reveal the intricate movement. The Reverso Septantieme followed in 2001, continuing the evolution of this iconic model.

In 2021, celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Tribute Nonantieme, reimagining traditional watchmaking complications in a fresh, visually striking manner.

The latest edition of the Reverso Tribute Nonantieme ‘Enamel’ presents a grey sunray-brushed dial, accentuated by elongated applied indexes, Dauphine hands, and a chemin de fer minute track. The ‘Grande Date’ display at 12 o’clock is framed in pink gold, harmonizing with the case and dial. Below, the moon phase display within the small seconds counter depicts a deep blue starry sky, echoing the celestial theme of the reverse side.

Flipping the case reveals an exquisite display set against a star-studded blue enamel background. Two apertures form a figure-eight motif: the upper one showcases a semi-jumping digital hour display, while the lower aperture features a rotating minute disc, partially obscured by a lacquered three-quarter plate adorned with pink gold stars. A polished sun and moon disk indicates night and day, surrounded by guilloché sunrays and pink gold beading. The background, previously a solid pink gold surface, is now transformed with rich blue enamel and laser-engraved latitude and longitude lines.

Powering this timepiece is Calibre 826, a hand-wound movement crafted entirely in-house. Engineered to fit the Reverso’s rectangular case, it features an innovative date mechanism using two side-by-side discs for seamless transitions. The semi-jumping digital hour display offers a fluid transition while conserving energy.

Limited to 90 pieces, the new Reverso Tribute Nonantieme ‘Enamel’ reaffirms Jaeger-LeCoultre’s dedication to technical mastery, artistic refinement, and the enduring allure of the Reverso.
