Min. ReadHermès, renowned for its artisanal craftsmanship and artistic ingenuity, reintroduces the Arceau Petite Lune in 2025. Originally designed in 1978 by Henri d’Origny, the Arceau’s hallmark features—stirrup-shaped lugs and slanted Arabic numerals—exude timeless elegance. This new edition elevates the Arceau’s celestial charm with a stunning moon phase complication and intricate diamond embellishments.
The 38mm stainless steel case showcases a rose-cut diamond in the crown and a crescent-shaped diamond setting along the bezel, comprising 99 brilliant-cut diamonds. The gradient blue-lacquered dial features a crescent-shaped recess adorned with 15 diamonds, creating a luminous interplay. At 10:30, a moon phase aperture displays a starry night sky, beautifully capturing the waxing and waning of the moon. Openworked leaf-shaped hands subtly highlight the abyss-blue center, evoking an eclipse’s mystique.
Inside beats the Hermès H1837 automatic movement, developed in partnership with Vaucher Manufacture. This 3.7mm-thin movement offers a 42-hour power reserve, operates at 4Hz, and features refined finishes like a circular-grained mainplate, satin-brushed bridges, and an ‘H’ motif rotor. Complementing the watch is an interchangeable abyss blue alligator strap, adding a sophisticated touch.
The Hermès Arceau Petite Lune effortlessly combines poetic design and meticulous craftsmanship, making it a true statement piece for watch enthusiasts.
