Min. ReadThe boutique brand Doxa, which has managed to create a unique fan base among watch enthusiasts with its models featuring elliptical cases, characteristic metal bracelets, and signature orange dials, introduced the standard production versions of the cult Sub 300 model.
The new collection, featuring the reproduction versions of the famous brand's Sub 300 model, which was very popular in the late 60s - early 70s, attracts attention with its vibrant dial colors.
The models in the new collection share the same platform with the Doxa SUB 300 50th Anniversary model both technically and visually which was introduced in 2017 as Limited Edition. This may be a bit unpleasant for users who bought this Limited-Edition model but, I think it would be unfair to us watch enthusiasts if the brand produced such a significant model only as a Limited Edition.
The new models come in 42.5mm x 13.4mm x 45mm stainless steel cases. The elliptical shaped cases, which have become the symbol of the brand, feature a unidirectional diver bezel and a domed sapphire crystal on the front. The model is water-resistant to 300 meters.
The models in the collection are home to dials designed in 6 different colors. The new collection, which includes a specific name for each color, is as follows; Divingstar (yellow), Professional (classic orange), Sharkhunter (black), Searambler (silver), Aquamarine (teal), and Caribbean (navy blue). Super-LumiNOVA filled baton hands and markers accompany the dials with date display windows at 3 o'clock.
The new generation models are powered by the Caliber ETA 2824-2. The automatic movement, which has been used in many different models since the first day of its production, is COSC certified and can offer up to 38 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
All models in the collection are available with a "Beads of Rice" style stainless steel bracelet, which has been identified with the model, or rubber straps matching the dial color. Models and prices can be found on the brand's official website.
