Citizen Mechanical Caliber 0210 Date

Citizen is expanding its model family, which is acclaimed for its movement produced in cooperation with La Joux-Perret, with a new version offering a date feature.

Citizen, one of Japan's largest representatives in the watch industry, continues to develop its cooperation with its famous movement manufacturer La Joux-Perret. The successful graphic captured with Caliber 0200, introduced in 2021, is reinforced today with the date-added Caliber 0210, based on the same platform.

The model housing the new caliber comes with a stainless-steel case designed with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 11.2mm. The case, which draws attention with its skillfully crafted facets, promises comfortable use on almost every wrist with its 47mm lug distance. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystals serve on both sides of the sporty case, where matte surfaces are enlivened with elegant polished lines. The stylish case, which underlines its sporty theme with its wide bezel and hard lines, also gives the green light to light water activities with its 100-meter water resistance value.

There are two different dial alternatives in the collection. While the black dial emphasizes the sporty aspect of the model with its rough, asphalt-like texture, the white dial with a cloud pattern brings the model closer to the casual style. The time is read on the elegant dials with Dauphine-style hands and baton indices with line details. The date, which is the distinguishing feature of the new model, can be viewed from the display placed at 3 o'clock and decorated with a metal frame detail.

The new models are powered by La Joux-Perret S.A. It is powered by the Caliber 0210 movement, which was designed and produced by Citizen per Citizen's directives. The 26-jewel automatic movement, set with a central rotor, oscillates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph) and can offer up to 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Caliber 0210, which can be viewed with pleasure through the sapphire crystal case back, offers an accuracy exceeding chronometer standards by 1 second/day (-3 to +5 seconds a day).

Both models come with integrated steel bracelets that follow the hard lines of the case.
