Bovet, one of Switzerland's oldest watchmaking brands, has always been synonymous with elegance and craftsmanship. Under Pascal Raffy's leadership since the early 2000s, Bovet has embraced a holistic approach, producing watches in-house with exceptional vertical integration. Known for its traditionally formal style, Bovet now introduces the Récital 12, a watch that brings a casual yet refined touch to the brand's legacy. This model marks Raffy's first venture into bracelet watches, catering to the demands of collectors.
Raffy explained, “Bovet has traditionally been a strap House, but we have had many collectors from all over the world asking for a metal bracelet. I’m very detail-oriented when it comes to comfort and design, so I knew if we did a bracelet, it would have to be as close to perfect as possible. My team and I worked on this timepiece for two full years, going through version after version to get it absolutely right.”
The Récital 12’s bracelet, crafted from grade 5 titanium, is both robust and lightweight, offering excellent resistance to corrosion and scratches. Its brushed and polished surfaces highlight Bovet’s distinctive design, featuring the brand's signature V. The bracelet includes a folding buckle and a 3mm fine-adjustment system for optimal comfort.
This bracelet seamlessly integrates with the 40mm Dimier case, showcasing a new open-worked movement. Comprised of 227 components, this 7-day power reserve hand-wound movement is crafted entirely in-house, including its hairspring. The inverted construction reveals the balance wheel on the dial side, emphasizing symmetry with hours and minutes displayed at 3 o'clock and a three-pronged small-second indicator at 9 o'clock. True to Bovet's standards, the movement features circular Geneva stripes and blued screws.
The off-center dial, available in dark blue, emerald green, or turquoise, is also made in-house and features Bovet’s lotus flower motif with 12 petals marking the hours. The deep color is achieved by applying seven layers of lacquer. The Bovet Récital 12 comes with a 5-year warranty.
