Min. ReadAs Orient marks its 75th anniversary, the brand introduces vibrant new dial colors for its beloved Bambino collection, along with two special limited editions featuring vintage-inspired beige dials. Known for offering exceptional value in mechanical watchmaking, Orient, a subsidiary of Seiko Epson Corporation, continues to impress enthusiasts with these latest additions.
The Bambino Classic remains a timeless dress watch with its 40.5mm stainless steel case, 12.3mm thickness, and retro 1950s aesthetic. Featuring a curved sunburst dial and domed crystal, the collection now welcomes green, navy blue, bordeaux, and beige dials. Applied Roman numerals and slim hands in either gold or silver tones enhance each variant, while a date window at 3 o’clock maintains the model’s practicality. Though water resistance is only 30m, the elegant cursive “Water Resistant” inscription at 6 o’clock adds a refined touch. The watches come with a leather strap and steel pin buckle.
The anniversary model retains the same specifications but adds vintage details such as a white dial with pink gold-toned numerals, blued hands, and the 1950s cursive Orient logo. The sapphire caseback bears a gold inscription celebrating the occasion, and a beige Nubuck leather strap complements the retro aesthetic. Limited to 9,500 pieces, this special edition comes in a gift box with an extra leather strap.
For those seeking more complexity, the Bambino Day/Night models introduce a dual-subdial layout displaying the days of the week at 10 o’clock and a 24-hour day/night indicator at 6 o’clock. Available in green, navy blue, and bordeaux sunburst dials, these watches feature applied Roman numerals and color-matched hands in gold or silver. Housed in a 41.5mm stainless steel case with a 14.2mm thickness, these models maintain the curved dial and domed crystal design.
A white-dialed limited edition of 5,500 pieces further commemorates the milestone, featuring the vintage Orient logo, pink gold numerals, blued hands, and a beige Nubuck strap. Powered by the automatic F6B24 movement with a 40-hour power reserve, all Day/Night editions now include a tool-free strap exchange system.
