Introducing the Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Diver Green

Nivada Grenchen continues to breathe new life into its iconic Antarctic collection, now adding a striking green dial variation to its lineup. Rooted in the brand’s heritage of crafting reliable tool watches, the Antarctic Diver Green maintains its vintage-inspired charm while incorporating modern updates.  

Originally launched in 2023 with a classic matte black dial, the Antarctic Diver reimagines one of Nivada Grenchen’s earliest dive watches from the late 1950s. This latest version stands out with its emerald green sunray-brushed dial, which adds a bold and vibrant twist to its retro aesthetic.  

The watch retains its compact 38mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 12.9mm, delivering a refined yet robust presence on the wrist. True to its heritage, the design features unprotected crown guards and elongated lugs, exuding mid-20th-century style. Modern enhancements include a unidirectional ceramic bezel with a fully graduated 60-minute scale and a double-domed sapphire crystal. With a screw-down crown and solid case back, the watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters, making it as functional as it is stylish.  

The green dial introduces subtle yet significant updates. While the crosshair seen on the black model is absent, the dial now features applied and painted rectangular hour markers, paired with a simpler minute track and cream-toned Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility. The bold rectangular hands remain, alongside the cursive "Antarctic Diver" signature. Buyers can choose between a date or no-date version, with the date model dropping the magnifier for a cleaner look.  

Underneath, the watch is powered by the Soprod P024 automatic movement, offering a 4Hz frequency and a 38-hour power reserve. While modest, it ensures reliability and affordability. The Antarctic Diver Green is available with multiple strap options, including leather, rubber, and steel bracelets, allowing for personalization.
